EverDear™ Memorial Diamonds
— Recollections and Hopes

Remembering our loved ones after they have left us is the most important part of what a cremation diamond means. It’s also known as a memorial diamond made out of human ashes. Everything in the world is made up of carbon — including the human body.

To make a cremation diamond, the carbon will be extracted from the hair and used to grow a one-of-a-kind diamond. Made from carbon and other trace elements extracted from the ashes of our loved ones, the diamond holds the priceless memories of our loved ones and our connection to them.

Technological Innovation and Customized Experience

A lab staff is working for cremation diamond

1. Carbon Refinement

Memorial diamonds are made of carbon extracted from cremation ashes. In the process of cremation, 18.5% of the carbon element is burned, and only 0.5-4% of the calcium carbonate is left in the bone. The binding strength of calcium carbonate is often more significant than that of carbon found in muscle tissue. Bones also act as a form of insulation to protect carbon in the bone marrow and other tissues.

In EverDear™'s laboratory, cremation diamonds made from human ashes must reach a very high purity level according to jewelry standards. Different treatments of cremation diamonds result in different colors. All the ashes of EverDear™ received are heated in a vacuum and purified through various refining processes to generate the colors required. Due to the presence of nitrogen in the ashes, the cremation diamonds naturally appear yellow. After nitrogen purification, the cremated diamond appears blue due to the fact that they contain boron. The completely purified ashes will produce colorless diamonds and emit a pure aura. The carbon content of each person's ashes is different, so everyone's diamond is unique.

HPHT process makes the high quality diamonds from ashes

2. HPHT Process

When carbon is subjected to extremely high pressure and high temperature, it will form natural diamonds underground. An HPHT machine is used to artificially simulate the natural environment in which carbon is converted into man-made diamonds. In this case, the carbon in the ashes is transformed into beautiful cremation diamonds. The inside of the HPHT machine is heated above 2000°F to melt the catalyst metal. The molten catalyst metal dissolves a high-purity personal carbon source that is transported to tiny diamond seeds and crystallized. A cremation diamond begins to grow like a shining star.

Cut and polish can make the diamond from ashes to be a perfect ring.

3. Cutting and Polishing

The cremation diamond was initially formed as an original uncut diamond, not showing its natural beauty and brilliance. Our professional artisans will polish cremation diamonds and cut them into the shape you desire to stimulate their real potential. First, skilled artisans will cut the cremation diamond to ensure the maximum weight, clarity, and best angle of a specific diamond shape. Next, the main facets of the diamond are smoothed, which is also known as polishing. All the steps will be performed with up-to-date tools to ensure accurate results.

Sparkles Can Evoke Joyful Memories

How to Cope with Grief after Losing Someone You Love

Grief is a solid emotional and physical reaction to the death of a loved one. We are caught up in deep sadness and sorrow and often have a strong desire to be with that person again. It brings up intense and sometimes overwhelming emotions.

After experiencing the pain of losing a loved one, we may feel numb and empty or angry about life. Many people cannot focus during grief because it takes a long time to get over the hurt. But remember that even grief is a healing process, and you shouldn't let it overtake you. Think carefully and plan for the rest of your life, which is the only thing that will help you to get over your grief and avoid being left behind.

Custom your own unique lab-grown diamond from your beloved one's ashes

  • Step one is to acknowledge your pain. This is the beginning stage to help you overcome your pain.

  • Step two is to accept that you may be coping differently than others - and that's okay.

  • Step three is to focus on your emotional well-being. Try to keep yourself busy with enjoyable activities. Remind yourself of the other things in life that are good.

  • Step four is to seek a connection with the person who has died. All perceptions tell us about burial and the urn, but if we want to stay with our loved one forever, consider a permanent form of remembrance like a cremation diamond.

Once you've taken this step, it's easier to move on and plan for what will come next. Here are some things you can do during difficult times that will help you recover from the loss as quickly as possible.

A Diamond from Ashes is Not Just A Shiny Ornament

Spiritual Support

Having a memorial item like a cremation diamond can help ease the grief. Cremation diamonds provide spiritual support for the bereaved, diverting the sorrow suffered by the grieving families while also creating a positive connection to their lives. Keeping memorial jewelry with diamonds from ashes can remind us that the person we have lost is not far away. Made by extracting carbon from the cremated ashes of the deceased, a custom-made cremation diamond is great for honoring the extraordinary life of the dead and helping the bereaved person get through grief. Many people find inner peace from diamonds created from ashes. Wearing the memorial cremation jewelry allows them to overcome their grief, always feel close to their deceased loved one, and sense the love that never seems to leave.

Grief researchers found three ways in which an object can provide emotional needs that must be met: mobility, providing mental support in the present, and allowing those who are grieving to refocus on the brighter side, not just the death of their loved ones.

Positive Connection

The significance of a diamond out of ashes is not only to remember the loved ones who have passed away; it is also the process of creating and waiting for a memorial diamond that heals people's grieving hearts. Sometimes, it is not death that is dreadful but being wholly forgotten. Ashes diamonds are portable, full of memories, and can be a warm companion to remember the person who has gone forever. There is a concrete reason to believe that the cremation diamond provides a channel for the bereaved to relieve the complex emotions associated with grief. It also creates a positive connection to our lives and physically reminds us that the person we have lost has not been left.

The bright moments and fond memories of the deceased person's life are extracted into a small, gorgeous memorial diamond through a thoughtful and uplifting process. Illusory grief is transformed into a touchable precious gift by turning the lost loved one's ashes into diamonds. The cremation diamond extracted from the ashes enables people to hold on to their memories and face their grief and future with courage.

FAQs about Diamond from Ashes

  • Spending some time considering what you can do with your loved one's cremated ashes can help bring peace after losing the one you love. While many people choose to place their loved ones in a traditional urn or scatter the ashes somewhere meaningful, these options may not appeal to you. By exploring what made your beloved one special, you can create a unique and customized farewell. Creating a custom-made memento could turn your loved one's cremated remains into a legacy.

EverDear™ can make sparkling, eternal diamonds from your loved one's ashes and craft them into one-of-a-kind memorial jewelry. You can keep a part of the departed person with you throughout your life at all times, and recall the joyful moments you spent with him or her through cremation diamonds. Memorial diamonds made from ashes can keep the story of your loved one alive and forever, passing it on from generation to generation.

  • Cremation diamonds are lab-grown diamonds made out of carbon extracted from human cremated remains. From cremated ashes, carbon can be extracted in the form of particles. After the carbon is obtained, laboratory specialists filter, purify and then graphitize it under the same conditions for creating a natural diamond.

In a high-temperature, high-pressure environment, carbon extracted from human ashes undergoes an expedited process of a few months in the laboratory, the exact same process that natural diamonds have been through over millions of years of formation. Diamonds from ashes grown in this way are genuine diamonds with the same physical and chemical properties as natural mined diamonds. Moreover, cremation diamonds made by EverDear™ are certificated and graded by professional gemological institutes such as GIA and IGI.

  • Cremation diamonds are synthetic diamonds grown in laboratories. Although diamonds from ashes are man-made, the laboratories, equipment, time, effort, and expertise put into the production are all factors that make these diamonds as valuable as they should be. The price of a cremation diamond depends on its color, cut, and size. Typically, the larger the size, the longer it takes to grow, and the more difficult it is to make, thereby making the cremation diamond more precious.

As lab-created diamonds, the resale value of cremation diamonds is not as high as that of mined diamonds. However, diamonds made out of your loved one’s ashes cannot be assessed by their monetary value. The sentimental preciousness it represents is worth the most. It gives you a lasting connection with your beloved who passed away and constantly reminds you of your loved one’s spirit and presence.

  • Carbon is the fundamental component of life, and anything alive is made of carbon - including your pet. Since diamonds are entirely constructed of carbon, and living creatures contain large amounts of carbon, it is possible to create diamonds from animal ashes. Whether your beloved animal friend is a cat, dog, horse, or even a pet parrot, they all can be turned into diamonds. EverDear™ can make them into shining diamonds that keep you company forever.

Making a diamond out of your pet's ashes will allow your pet to participate in the rest of your life, so they never miss a moment of your life. By wearing a memorial diamond from ashes, you can always share the memory of your lovely pet with those around you.

  • After cremation, the body of an adult human being leaves about 1.8 to 2.7 kg of ashes (about 9.4 cups). It takes about two-thirds of a cup of ashes to make a 0.1 carat diamond. Therefore, theoretically, it is possible to make an average of 14 diamonds per person, each diamond weighing 0.1 carats. Hair is a better source of carbon than cremated ashes. You can increase the efficiency if you preserve the hair before cremation. Through the current efficient cremation diamond process, EverDear™ can offer you diamonds from 0.1 carats to 3.0 carats.

Please note that we are estimating the cremated ashes' weight according to the human body's original mass. The ashes' weight is mainly based on the weight of the bones in the body, which is determined by the body height. In other words, the person's height can significantly affect the ashes' weight.
